The soldiers of the 92nd Assault Brigade of Ukraine recently spoke out about the need for compromises from both the US and Ukraine to bring an end to the ongoing war. They reflected on a public spat between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with one soldier, nicknamed “Edo,” emphasizing the importance of politicians understanding the situation on the ground to avoid conflicts.
Another soldier, known as “DSHB,” acknowledged the concerns of the US regarding support to Ukraine but stressed the importance of that support for Kyiv’s security. Both soldiers agreed that compromises from both sides are necessary for any peace efforts to succeed.
Zelenskyy, who arrived in London ahead of a summit with European leaders, expressed his gratitude for US support and emphasized the need for strong relations with Washington. The meeting in London resulted in a £2.6 billion loan to Ukraine to bolster its defenses, part of a broader G7 initiative.
The soldiers also highlighted the importance of stopping the aggression in Ukraine to prevent it from spreading to Europe, emphasizing the need for support from both the US and Europe. The upcoming summit with European leaders, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, is seen as a crucial opportunity to address the ongoing conflict and work towards a peaceful resolution.
