Weekend forecast: Indianapolis temperatures to remain mild with sunny skies

The weather in Indianapolis is transitioning from blustery and cold conditions to spring-like warmth next week. Despite a few light flurries on Thursday morning, temperatures will reach the mid-40s with plenty of sunshine in the afternoon. Clouds will increase on Thursday night with the possibility of a rain-snow mix before a mainly cloudy and quiet day on Friday. High temperatures will be in the mid-40s with some chances of light precipitation, especially in northern areas of the state.

The weekend is looking quiet with clouds on Saturday and sunny conditions on Sunday, with highs reaching the mid-50s. Next week will bring a significant warm-up, with temperatures returning to the low to mid-60s on Monday and possibly reaching the lower 70s on Tuesday, the warmest day of the year so far. Wednesday will continue with mild temperatures and a chance of rain. The extended forecast shows above-average temperatures through the 20th of the month. Despite the warm-up, the first half of the work week will be breezy but pleasant. Overall, Indianapolis is in for a welcome taste of spring after the chilly conditions of recent days.
