The Indianapolis chapter of Links Incorporated is gearing up for the Black Family Wellness Expo, an event designed to address health disparities in Black communities. The international non-profit organization, established in 1946, aims to enrich the lives of African Americans. The expo will feature blood pressure screenings, breast screenings, vaccines, and dental care provided by IU Health. Additionally, food trucks and activities will be available to make the event both educational and enjoyable. Deborah Oates and Stacey Myers, members of Links Incorporated, are spearheading this initiative to promote health and wellness within the Black community. The expo is part of a nationwide effort to improve the well-being of Black families. To learn more about the upcoming event, be sure to watch Carolene Mays on Community Link.
