Five people injured in Pennsylvania after small plane crashes into residential area

All five people on board a small plane that crashed in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, survived and were taken to hospitals. The plane, a Beechcraft Bonanza, crashed shortly after takeoff in a retirement community, with no injuries reported on the ground but five vehicles damaged. First responders quickly arrived on the scene and were able to extinguish the fires. The plane had reportedly skidded before crashing, and residents were initially told to shelter in place as a precaution. The aircraft was scheduled to fly to Ohio, and air traffic control radio traffic indicated an open door on the plane shortly after takeoff. The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation into the crash. Overall, authorities are glad that all individuals on board survived and that nobody on the ground was hurt, considering it a positive outcome from a potentially tragic incident.
