The 32nd Annual Red Sox Celebrity Classic series recently raised over $400,000 for the new Golisano Children’s Hospital Surgery Center. The series consisted of three events: the Boston Tee Party, the 32nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic, and Dinner on the Diamond. These events featured appearances from Red Sox players and celebrities, as well as auctions and other fundraising activities.
The funds raised will go towards the development of the new surgery center at the Golisano Children’s Hospital, which will include four operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and expanded pre-op and recovery areas. This child-friendly environment aims to reduce wait times, increase efficiencies, lower costs, and improve access to emergency services for pediatric patients. The event series has raised over $15.8 million since 1993 and continues to support the hospital’s efforts in providing quality care for children and families in Southwest Florida.
Major sponsors of the series included The Forest Country Club, Boston Red Sox, and other local businesses.
