Indiana Township is requesting proposals for its 2025 paving program.

The Indiana Township officials have announced plans to repave 12 streets and add guardrails this year as part of their 2025 paving program. Bids for the project are set to be opened on April 4 and awarded on April 9, with construction expected to begin in June and be completed within a few weeks. The streets on the list for repaving include Bruno Drive, Duncan Way, Puritan Avenue, and others. Public works crews will also clean out storm inlets and perform minor repairs prior to repaving.

Engineer Dan Slagle and public works superintendent Larry Smith evaluate the roads annually based on safety, condition, cost, and frequency of use to determine which roads will be prioritized for paving. The township has budgeted $500,000 for paving this year and anticipates the bids to come in under budget. The allocation also includes funds to install guardrails in various locations for improved safety.

The township manager, Dan Anderson, emphasized the commitment to maintaining crucial infrastructure with the annual paving program. The township aims to get the paving advertisement out early in March to attract more competition and secure the best price for the project. Last year’s paving program was awarded to Tresco Paving, with nine streets being repaved according to township documents.
