A section of Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis is closed following a crash involving a pedestrian and a fire hydrant. The incident, which occurred at 5312 Massachusetts Avenue, involved two vehicles in a fender bender. As the drivers were exchanging information, a third vehicle lost control and struck the adult male driver from the initial accident. Both the man and woman involved in the crash were taken to a hospital in stable condition. The road closure, between 30th Street and Ritter Avenue, is expected to last several hours as repairs are made to the broken hydrant.
