Indianapolis City-County Council Approves $66M for Old City Hall Redevelopment – Latest News on Indiana Weather and Traffic

The City-County Council in Indianapolis has approved a $66 million proposal to revitalize the Old City Hall. The bonds will be given to TWG Developers, who will redevelop the property and build a mixed-use development on the adjacent parking lot. The funds will cover a funding gap due to rising costs, with the money needing to be paid back in 10 years. The new development will include 23 condos, 186 apartments, 156 hotel rooms, and retail and commercial space. Additionally, there will be a parking garage and a 20,000-square-foot art gallery. Construction is set to begin in July, with completion expected by July 2028. The Old City Hall, which was dedicated in 1909, has served various purposes over the years, including housing city government offices until 1962. This ambitious redevelopment project aims to transform the historic building into a vibrant community hub for residents and visitors in Indianapolis.
