Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana to host country’s first leadership and sports complex for young female athletes
Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana is gearing up to host the country’s first leadership and sports complex specifically designed for young female athletes. The Marvella Foundation will lead the initiative, with plans for a 300,000 square foot facility featuring 16 courts and fields for sports like basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse.
Allison Barber, Executive Leader and Chair of the Marvella Foundation, expressed excitement for the project, stating that the entire campus will cater to female athletes. The complex, named Marvella Sports, pays tribute to Marvella Bayh, a well-known advocate for women’s rights and equality in sports.
In addition to sports facilities, Marvella Sports will house a success center focusing on mental health, leadership, and nutrition for young female athletes. Jacqueline McCloskey, Director of Business Development at Fair Oaks Farms, emphasized the family-friendly aspect of the project, highlighting opportunities for families to participate in sports and leadership activities.
Fair Oaks Farms, known for its agriculture and hospitality, will provide visitors with experiences in agriculture and farm-fresh dining options. Construction on the Marvella Sports complex is set to begin this spring, and is expected to be completed by summer 2026. This groundbreaking project promises to open up new opportunities for young female athletes in Indiana.
