Early Thursday morning, Indianapolis police responded to a shooting on North Addison Street on the city’s west side, leaving a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. The man is in critical condition, while the woman is stable in the hospital. The incident is believed to be a result of a disturbance between neighbors, but details are still unclear due to a language barrier between investigators and the victims. Several people are currently detained as persons of interest, but no arrests have been made. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is continuing to investigate the shooting on Washington Street, just a few blocks away from George Washington High School. Captain Don Weilhammer urges anyone with information to come forward to help in the investigation.
