Seattle, April 11, 2025 – The 2025 SeattleCIO ORBIE Awards recently honored top technology executives from Toast, Microsoft, City of Seattle, Washington Department of Ecology, Washington Trust Bank, and University of Washington for their exceptional leadership and innovation. The awards, hosted by SeattleCIO, celebrated CIOs and C-suite technology leaders who drive business transformation and industry impact across six categories. The ceremony, held at The Westin Seattle, brought together industry leaders to recognize excellence in technology leadership.
Debra Chrapaty of Toast received the Leadership ORBIE, while Nathalie D’Hers of Microsoft was awarded the Global ORBIE for organizations over $2 billion annual revenue. Other winners included Rob Lloyd of City of Seattle, Scott West of Washington Department of Ecology, Michael Slama of Washington Trust Bank, and Andreas Bohman of University of Washington.
The ORBIE Awards, established in 1998, are a prestigious recognition for C-suite leaders who demonstrate leadership effectiveness, business value through technology innovation, and engagement in industry and community endeavors. The keynote address was delivered by Debra Chrapaty, CTO of Toast, and attended by nearly 300 guests from leading Seattle organizations and their technology partners.
