Indiana transfer forward Lilly Meister has committed to Kansas, the university announced on Monday morning. Meister, a 6-foot-3 incoming senior, brings valuable size and experience to the Jayhawks’ post position, which lacked depth following the departure of Taiyanna Jackson. Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Meister played three seasons with the Hoosiers, averaging 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds during her junior year. She had notable performances, including a 20-point, 15-rebound double-double against Harvard.
Meister is KU’s first transfer addition of the cycle, as five Jayhawks decided to enter the portal after limited roles in the previous season. With incoming freshmen and returning players, Kansas is looking to build a competitive roster for the upcoming season. The addition of Meister, along with four marquee freshmen, fills the void left by departing players.
