26-year-old Carlos D. Ellis has been arrested in connection to the 2017 murder of 36-year-old Nicholas Hennan in Fort Wayne. The shooting occurred in August 2017 at apartments south of downtown Fort Wayne. Ellis faces charges of two counts of murder and robbery by threatening force. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at Allen County Jail. It is unclear if a second man was also arrested in connection to the murder. Reports indicate that Nicholas was meeting two individuals for a firearms transaction when he was shot. After the shooting, witnesses saw two people fleeing the area on foot.
