Arrest made in connection to alleged human trafficking at massage parlors in southern Indiana

Law enforcement agencies from several Indiana counties collaborated to shut down two massage businesses in Jeffersonville after an investigation into prostitution and human trafficking. The investigation into Eva Massage at 1002 E. 10th St. began after receiving tips from the community. Investigators found evidence consistent with illicit operations and raided the business, along with another in New Albany.

Four victims rescued from the businesses were given medical attention and support services after being determined to be forced into sex trafficking. 62-year-old Xing Song was arrested and charged with promoting human sexual trafficking, promoting prostitution, and corrupt business influence.

Jeffersonville Police emphasized the importance of providing resources to victims to prevent them from falling back into the same trap. The Southern Indiana Human Trafficking Coalition was thanked for their assistance in providing resources to the victims. Police also conducted undercover work to verify illicit activities being offered inside the businesses.

The victims were given access to phones to contact family or the outside world and were helped to find other places to go to avoid falling back into the same situation. The police expressed their gratitude to their law enforcement partners for their assistance in the operation. The authorities are dedicated to combating human trafficking and preventing vulnerable individuals from falling victim to these crimes.
