A team of thieves stole millions of dollars in merchandise and cash after tunneling into a downtown Los Angeles jewelry store. Love Jewels owners suspect the thieves used an abandoned theater next door to slowly dig their way into the store over the course of weeks. The owners believe they are at a loss of upwards of $20 million, as all their money was in the safe that the thieves were able to break into after disabling cameras and alarms. The owners suspect the thieves had five to six hours to carry out the theft. Police are investigating the crime, but have not confirmed the exact figure of the loss. Love Jewels is a family-run shop and the owners are devastated by the theft.
