Fishers Baseball Thrives with Star Outfielder Zander Carnahan at the Helm
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — The Fishers Tigers baseball team is enjoying a standout season, currently ranked third in 4A, with championship ambitions driving their performance. Central to their success is outfielder Zander Carnahan, who leads the team in hits, runs, and RBIs.
“This year, my confidence levels are at an all-time high,” Carnahan stated. “I trust my teammates to support me, and that belief drives me to give my all in every game. It’s this aggressive approach that helps us win.”
Carnahan, who has transitioned to Fishers from Cathedral for his senior year, has quickly embraced a leadership role. “I’m vocal and lead by example,” he explained, adeptly communicating both on the field and during play.
Coach Matthew Cherry praised Carnahan’s dedication, noting his efforts both academically and athletically. “He’s not just a competitor on the field; he challenges himself in advanced classes as well,” Cherry said.
Looking ahead, Carnahan believes team chemistry is crucial for realizing their goal of reaching the state championship at Victory Field. “That’s what every team aspires to,” he remarked confidently. “We believe in ourselves, and each game is a step toward that championship.”
