Press Release: American Dairy Association Supports Indiana Sports Corporation with Ice Cream Social
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The American Dairy Association (ADA) hosted a delightful Ice Cream Social on a beautiful afternoon, successfully raising funds for the Indiana Sports Corporation. The event not only celebrated Indiana’s dairy industry but also provided an opportunity for community engagement.
Brooke Williams, Director of Communications at the ADA, expressed gratitude for the favorable weather and the vital support from sponsors, including Kroger and Prairie Farms. “Kroger generously donated all the vanilla ice cream, while Prairie Farms provided the whipped cream, which is always a crowd favorite,” Williams said.
The event’s atmosphere was lively, featuring two dairy cows that added a special touch. Williams highlighted the importance of the proceeds going to the Indiana Sports Corporation, praising their impactful work in the community. “They are excellent at connecting sports to youth initiatives, which is vital for our almost 700 dairy farmers,” she added.
With July recognized as National Ice Cream Month, the Ice Cream Social was an ideal platform to promote the dairy sector. The ADA aimed to create memorable connections, similar to their presence at high-profile events like the Indy 500 and their dairy bar at the Indiana State Fair.
The Ice Cream Social concluded at 2:00 PM, but Williams encouraged everyone to visit the American Dairy Association booth at the upcoming Indiana State Fair. She emphasized the mission of promoting dairy as a key part of the community’s values and heritage.
