“London-Based Sports Tech Company Expanding to Indiana” – Inside INdiana Business

Sportable, a sports technology company based in the UK, has announced plans to establish its North American Innovation Center in Indiana. The company has developed an advanced ball and player tracking platform using sensors to measure player and team performance in real-time. Sportable will be joining a network of sports tech companies led by Indianapolis-based Sports Tech HQ Inc., with support from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

Founded in 2015, Sportable has around 100 employees and has expanded its technology from rugby to the NFL, NCAA football, and the Canadian Football League. The company had previously collaborated with the Indianapolis Colts to track quarterback data in the NFL.

Sportable’s decision to establish its innovation center in Indiana highlights the state’s commitment to innovation and technical excellence in the sports tech industry. The company did not provide a specific location or timeline for the center’s opening.

Since its launch, Sports Tech HQ has helped bring 20 sports-technology-related companies to Indiana, doubling the number of firms in the state’s sports tech ecosystem. Sportable and Sports Tech HQ officials will be discussing the company’s expansion on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick.

Sportable’s move to Indiana represents a significant opportunity for the state to strengthen its position as a sports tech powerhouse, attracting innovative companies and fostering technological growth in the sports industry.
