Two Arrested Following Home Burglary and Assault in Fishers, IN
FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — Two Indianapolis men are being held in Hamilton County jail following a violent home burglary in Fishers on Thursday morning. Authorities reported that no formal charges had been filed as of Friday afternoon.
The incident unfolded around 6:30 a.m. when Fishers Police responded to a 911 call from a homeowner in the 16000 block of Brookmere Avenue, located in the Britton Falls subdivision. The homeowner reported that two men had entered her residence and assaulted her before fleeing the scene with stolen property.
Emergency services transported the victim to a local hospital, where she was treated and subsequently released.
The suspects, Elijah J. Oates, 24, and Daquez Stockdale, 25, were apprehended later that day. Current charges against both include high-level felony robbery and burglary, along with preliminary misdemeanor counts of theft.
Additionally, Oates faces multiple serious charges, including criminal confinement, sexual battery, and residential entry. Meanwhile, Stockdale is charged with related offenses of criminal confinement and residential entry.
