Indiana State Police reported that 62-year-old James Fox was killed in a crash on State Road 56 near Elk Creek Road in Little York on December 9. The accident occurred around 7:31 a.m. when Fox, driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2013 GMC Sierra in a near head-on collision. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to veer off the road. Fox was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver, 46-year-old Jason Terrell, was transported to a hospital in Louisville for his injuries. Police did not disclose Terrell’s current condition. State Road 56 was shut down for nearly four hours while authorities investigated the crash. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices and the need to remain vigilant on the road at all times.
